What’s it like to live in Hayes, West London?

Hayes, in west London, is home to brand new, state-of-the-art apartments from Fizzy Living.

Fizzy Living are a Build to Rent (BTR) company, which means they’re a corporate landlord who own all the buildings and manage them directly, with dedicated property managers on-site to help handle day-to-day living. Everything from maintenance to repairs, moving in to rental payments is handled by a central, professional team – you couldn’t be in better hands.

Plus, the apartments are beautiful: we’re talking open plan living/kitchen spaces with heaps of natural light, integrated BOSCH appliances, ensuite bathrooms and private balconies. Plus, they’re pet friendly, come with broadband included, and can be furnished with contemporary, stylish and quality furniture.

So, we’re agreed that the flats are awesome – what about the area of Hayes itself?

Tucked away in the west of London, Hayes isn’t necessarily the first place that springs to mind when you consider settling in the capital. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t loads of great reasons to call Hayes home.

Barra Hall Park

Barra Hall Park is a beautiful formal park situated in the centre of Hayes, and was formerly on the grounds of Barra Hall – a Jacobean-style mansion built in 1872. From the mid-1920s, the hall was used as Hayes & Harlington town hall, and the grounds became a public park. The park has ornamental lawns, recreational grass areas, rose and shrub beds, and lots of trees – making it a perfect place for an afternoon walk with the dogs or a kick-about.

Delicious Indian food

There are loads of great Indian restaurants and takeaways in Hayes – so if you like it spicy, this is the place for you. Favourites include Madhu’s Heathrow, delivering authentic Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist; Annayu, with a unique blend of classic and contemporary Indian cuisine provided by creative chefs; and Sipson Tandoori, ranked among the top 100 Spice Restaurants in the UK.

Beck Theatre

The Beck Theatre, a 600-seater venue in Hayes, brings the best local, national and international companies and performers to the area. They present a wide variety of productions, including stand-up comedy, live music, plays, and cinema, plus National Theatre Live showings for your West End fix. Starting from October 2019, the theatre will also run ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’ – yoga and meditation classes led by qualified experts to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the community. The Beck is a real cultural hub for Hayes – and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Hounslow Urban Farm

Just south of Heathrow Airport is Hounslow Urban Farm – an interactive farm where visitors can meet a range of animals from cattle to pigs, rabbits to tortoises. There are daily owl displays, and the opportunity for animal encounters led by knowledgeable and trained staff. Many of the animals at the Farm arrive after being unwanted, abandoned or confiscated – its location near to Heathrow Airport means it often takes in animals that are caught being smuggled into or out of the country, giving them a safe home!

Travel

While we’re on the subject of Heathrow – the travel connections in Hayes are amazing. You’re literally 10 minutes by car or train to the UK’s biggest airport – great if you’re a keen traveller, or have family and friends to visit abroad.

It’s also well-connected by train: Hayes & Harlington station is on both Great Western Railway and TfL rail lines. You can get to Paddington in 20 minutes, so that work commute will be dead easy.

Hayes’ position in Greater London also means that you’re close to the M4 and M25 for easy driving around the country if you need to!

Find your home in Hayes

It’s settled, then – Fizzy Hayes is the perfect place to call home. Beautiful pet-friendly apartments, state-of-the-art interior design and home appliances, professional property management with a resident app, and a location with loads going for it – what’s not to love?
