Where to Eat in London for a No Diet Day

In celebration of No Diet Day, it’s only right to share with you the places where you can indulge and break your dieting misery. You’ve come this far, why ruin it all? Well, if you’ve sustained yourself on quinoa, oats, grass, leaves and whatever other ‘superfoods’ that have been branded to you, it shows you have dedication. So, why not become a dedicated food champion for a day?

Porky’s, Camden

The Iron Pig Challenge

The Challenge: The challenge: This one is a bit of a sporting competition and maybe a chance to gain bragging rights across London. The aim of the Iron Pig is to consume an Ultimate Porky Burger, St. Louis Ribs & 6 Hot Wings in the fastest time. Your time will be contested against over a month and the chief pork eater will be announced after the month is up.

Pass/Fail: If you succeed, you and one other can enjoy a meal on the house! Don’t just become a champion for the month, come back after 6 months for a face-to-face eat off with other monthly winners.

Difficulty level: Easy to learn, hard to master.

Red Dog Saloon, Hoxton/Clapham
The Devastator Burger

The challenge: All you need to do is take on the Devastator Burger, simple? The burger is made up of; 3x 6oz beef burger patties, 6 rashers of applewood smoked bacon, 200g pulled pork and 6 slices of American cheese. Not only do you have to finish this tower of a burger, you will need to polish off a basket of chips and half a litre of milkshake, all within 10 minutes.

Pass/Fail: A t-shirt will be awarded to you if you’re successful.

Difficulty level: “I could do that”

MEATmission – Hoxton
Triple Chili Challenge

The challenge: The aim of the game is to eat all three options in under 10 minutes…
Option 1 – Green Chili Cheeseburger
Option 2 – Chili Dog
Option 3 – Chili Cheese Fries
If you’re not good with ‘CHILI’ then give this one a wide berth. However, if you can suck it up, the best thing about chilli is it takes time to set in. The best advice, do it quickly and pay for it later and say hello to the porcelain throne…

Pass/Fail: If you pass, it’s all free. If you fail, get ready to empty your wallet.

Difficulty level: SPICY

Oktoberfest Pub, Fulham
The Lumberjack’s Double Knuckle Challenge

The challenge: You have all the time in the world, BUT, you have to eat two slow roasted pork knuckles as well as a bed of chips and a side salad of sauerkraut. A stein of lager will also be provided, don’t let the bubbles go to your head!

Pass/Fail: If you pass you will be rewarded with a stein glass to take home as well as a framed photo on their wall

Difficulty level: Impossible

Black Burger’s, Purley
Beast Burger Challenge

The challenge: Consume the burger in under an hour. The burger is made up of a 7lb beef patty, half lb of mature cheddar, 7 rashers of streaky bacon, 1 whole lettuce, 7 whole tomatoes, 1lb. You will also have to eat a lb of skinny fries and drink a full-sized milkshake.

Pass/Fail: Wall of fame and a free t-shirt, if you fail, you’ll be placed on the wall of shame.

Difficulty level: 100000000
