If you\u2019ve got the space under your bed, use it! Buy yourself some plastic boxes, because simple organisation really is key. Or treat yourself to some of those fancy boxes, that also look great for decoration but keep all your tat in one place – making for a totally clean room.<\/p>\n

Frame that snap of your family pet (that you dearly miss), or the best holiday you had with your pals, as pictures really do tell stories . You\u2019ll find yourself feeling warm and fuzzy whenever you look at those memories, and they\u2019re yours, adding character to your room. And if your landlord doesn\u2019t want you to hang things on the wall? Lean them – on a sideboard, against a wall, below the window or on your headboard.

You can never have too many plants. Ever. Not only do they brighten up a room, but they\u2019ll instantly make you feel calmer. Plants don\u2019t even have to cost a lot, so get yourself to your local garden centre to pick up a few greens. And if you\u2019re not so good at keeping them? Take a trip to Ikea<\/a> for all of the fake plants! So maybe you don\u2019t want your nan\u2019s friends husbands chest of drawers when you move in, but when you\u2019ve dropped your deposit, chances are, buying that new West Elm<\/a> sideboard may be out of the equation. Pop down to your local charity shop, or browse on Gumtree<\/a> as you never know what you may find. You might even be a dab hand at some up-cycling – which results in you having a new bedside table exactly how you want it. A little like plants, you can never have enough candles. They create a cosy and warm environment, for those cold evenings that you may want to spend alone. Dot them around your room for ultimate chilled vibes – and they\u2019ll also make nice decoration too. Because we all love a good smelling candle. We\u2019ve all had our mum nagging us, with a duster in hand, telling us to clean our rooms. And we just never quite got it. But she was right. Dusting is good, and keeping your room tidy creates less clutter and more of a space you want to come home to and enjoy. Always wanted those crazy cat lady bed sheets? Treat yourself to some new bedding, because there\u2019s nothing quite like fresh sheets to snuggle on into. Plus a bed is the main feature of said bedroom, so if you look after your bed, your bed will look after you. Rented house who? Your little home sanctuary more like!<\/p>\n
