About Dan Carpenter

Superfast broadband/ central heating/ washing machine/ hot water on demand. All bills/ council tax and WiFi included. I'm renting out a spacious double room with a working fireplace. My current tenant moves out at the end of June. I teach English Literature and Classics but don’t let that put you off. I’m a friendly and super chilled out person. I have a very lovely 11 year old daughter who lives with me some of the time and I have one very affectionate cat. I don’t have too many rules - you’re welcome to have partners/ guests to stay. I’m open to people with pets so long as they can coexist with my cat. My house is in upper Walthamstow, about 10 minutes walk to Highams Park or Wood Street train station. Trains go regularly to Walthamstow tube and Liverpool Street. Bus stop at the end of the road. Residents parking on the road - permits are £32 per year. I have a secure bike store in the front garden and there are bike stores at Walthamstow station (5-10 minute cycle ride). The room would suit a professional who wants a quiet, large and pleasant bedroom. There’s a large garden for summertime chilling. Any enthusiastic gardeners are very welcome. The room is available furnished or unfurnished. My current tenant pays £650 per month which covers household goods such as toilet roll, soap, cleaning products etc as well as a cleaner who comes twice a month. I’d be happy to maintain this arrangement with any future tenant.
