About me

About me

I’m Rachael (she/her), a 27-year-old mature student from Ireland. I’m new to London and looking for a social home with communal vibes rather than just a place to stay. Ideally, I’d love to find or buddy up with some people to create our own little community of like-minded humans that’s queer-friendly, feminist, liberal, and just an all-round enjoyable place to live A little bit about me: I’m a non-diet and weight inclusive nutritionist which basically means I do the opposite of what a nutritionist is trained to do ;p I help people stop dieting and feel more at peace around food and in their bodies. I’m really passionate about tackling fatphobia, diet culture, and social justice issues in my work. But I’m also very good at turning that part of my brain off, pretending the world isn’t on fire, and having a laugh. In my spare time, I like reading, writing, going for walks, and then calling them hikes. Also a big fan of Netflix, Dominos, exploring London, and going out to events like burlesque and drag shows, live comedy, talks, gigs, theatre, ecstatic dance, etc. Socially, I prefer a more low-key/chill vibe. I’m not really a partying or clubbing kinda gal. I’m more into movie nights, game nights, long dinners, deep chats, chilling at the pub, etc. Ideally, I’d like to live with people who feel the same because at the ripe old age of 27, I just can’t hack it in a party house. & As for living style in general, I’m pretty relaxed and easy-going. I like to keep things fairly clean but I’m definitely not OTT about it. Finally (if you made this far congrats!), in terms of the nitty gritty stuff, Budget = £1,000 but obviously the cheaper the better. Location = Looking for places in West or South West London as I have to commute to Parsons Green a couple days a week. But I can be flexible for the right place/people (as long as it doesn’t have me spending half my life on the tube!). Furnished = I don’t have any furniture here, so I need furnished or at least partially with a bed. Move Date = My current lease ends on the 6th of August. So ideally looking to move anytime between now and then. But if I find a place I really like that isn’t available until the end of August/start of September I can wait for it. If any of this sounds like your cup of tea, I’d love to chat
