Where To Get Your Coffee Fix In London

Depresso: that feeling you get when you’ve ran out of coffee.

Luckily for us in London, running out of coffee isn’t really a thing here. Taking tips from Melbourne, our coffee scene is pretty good. We’re not just talking about the roasted coffee beans delivering the goods themselves, we’re talking about the cafe scene as a whole – the atmosphere, endless tasty treats and incredibly friendly baristas. We don’t just drink coffee for our morning fix anymore – we socialise in cafes regularly, have first dates there, work from cosy corners, take a book to our local spot, and basically make it our second home.

So we rounded up our favourite coffee shops in the city, who are well worth visiting for a sip (and a snack). Double Espresso please.

Workshop Coffee

(80 Mortimer St, Marylebone, London W1W 7FE)

Freelancer friendly, Workshop Coffee source, roast and brew quite possibly the best coffee. You’ll want to make this your permanent office space.

E5 Bakehouse

(395 Mentmore Terrace, London E8 3PH)

The coffee is good, and the pastries are even better. Stay for breakfast and lunch at E5 Bakehouse, because they’re passionate about sourdough and roasted coffee.

Monmouth Coffee

(27 Monmouth St, London WC2H 9EU)

The seating may be limited, but this original shop is passionate about coffee. And coffee lovers are passionate about Monmouth Coffee.

Coffee Works Project

(96-98 Islington High St, Islington, London N1 8EG)

Whether you want to catch up with friends on an afternoon or just tackle those emails, Coffee Works Project is just the place. Guaranteed coffee fix too.

The Attendant

(27A Foley St, Fitzrovia, London W1W 6DY)

It’s quirky and it’s tiny, but this coffee bar in a restored Victorian public convenience. And it makes great coffee. We love The Attendant.

Ozone Coffee Roasters

(11 Leonard St, London EC2A 4AQ)

More than just a popular coffee shop – Ozone Coffee Roasters food is also incredible. Set yourself up for a day and order breakfast, lunch and dinner. And plenty of coffee OBVS.

Monocle

(18 Chiltern St, Marylebone, London W1U 7QA)

Cute, compact and pretty hipster. Monocle Cafe serve delicious coffee blends, incredible baked goods and also have a cute exterior. Triple win.

Paper & Cup

(18, Calvert Ave, London E2 7JP)

A cosy and welcoming space with great coffee, scrumptious treats and books that are so cheap, they’re almost free (so Paper & Cup proudly say). Does it get any better than that?

Kaffeine

(Great Titchfield Street & Eastcastle Street)

You can see why Kaffeine, the coffee and espresso bar is popular and always busy – because Aussies know their coffee. And they offer courses teaching latte art skills, which is a big deal nowadays.

Soho Grind

(19 Beak St, Soho, London W1F 9RP)

Espresso bar and cocktail bar (hello Espresso Martini’s) – Soho Grind has it all going on. They’re basically the cool kids on the block.

A coffee a day, keeps the doctor away. Or something like that…
