It’s just been a week of widespread panic, with endless speculation on what’s next for the country, and everyone from politicians to journalists at a loss for what to expect. If we can rely on the British public for anything, though, it’s top-quality politics meme content, and Jacob Rees-Mogg royally set himself up for target practice at the three-hour late-night Brexit debate last night.
Rees-Mogg, who is the actual Leader of the House of Commons, was slouching like an insolent school boy on the Commons benches as one of the most important debates in modern history was underway.
