The issue of finding the ideal roommate is something that you don’t want to be thinking about whilst you go about your daily schedule. Well look no further, here I present to you some invaluable tips that will make finding a flatmate a walk in the park…
1/ Walk in a park
This is a prime opportunity for you to scout out your next flatmate, one reason being that you are bound to bump into someone you know, who will introduce you to a friend of theirs who is also looking to relocate. BOOM you’ve got yourself a roommate!

2/ Ask someone on the tube

4/ Local Tennis League
Keeping on the theme of sports, your local tennis league is a great way to meet new people and potential roommates. Local Tennis Leagues are nationwide, but specifically cover a vast majority of London. The process of registering is quick and easy, with some very honest questions to make sure you are matched on ability. As you go through the league meeting new people, you will have someone on one time and find out if competitors are also roommate hunting!
5/ Message that friend you haven’t seen or heard of in 7 years, who is now looking/offering a room
Facebook is a great tool that no one seems to use anymore. Its main purposes today are sharing videos, stalking someone you’ve just swiped on tinder, buying second-hand bikes off marketplace and signing petitions that you feel so strongly about, but will forget about the next day. 6/ DJ shout out
It’s simple, make a B line for the decks and shout out your request to the DJ. “Roommate wanted, budget £500-£600, preferably in East London, come to the toilets for all enquiries!”. To help boost results, it’s advisable you attend at least 10-15 clubs in one night.
7/ Football match toilets
The football season is now over, but this gives you ample opportunity to prep a ‘toilet queue speech’ in anticipation for the next one.
