About Kaban

A little bit about me: My name is Kaban, and I am a 27-year-old Norwegian/Kurdish woman. I moved to London from Berlin in December because of work. I will be working as a Prevent Officer at the Westminster Council, which involves community engagement against extremism and radicalisation. Personality-wise, I’m really easy going, open-minded, social, and relaxed person who has lived with different flatmates during my years. I like to have it clean but I’m neither a clean freak nor a slob, and while my room may alternate between whirlwind and organised, I totally respect the common areas and keep them fairly neat. I know what’s needed in being a good flatmate (I won’t drink your last coke, and I know how to buy the all-important things). I like to cook (i make a mean hummus and dumplings), listen to music, go out and to socialise with my roommates. I love to have good conversations and share knowledge especially with people with different backgrounds and cultures. Right now I’m in living in Hackney with two flatmates until the end of February.
